Alfredo E. Pascual is the 20th President of the University of the Philippines (U.P.), the country’s national university. He assumed the position in February 2011 for a term of six years. He teaches finance and management.
President Pascual is implementing a strategic plan to launch U.P. on a trajectory of becoming a great university in the 21st century—a university that takes leadership in the development of a globally competitive Philippines. Based on the program, you have heard talks about how to build great, livable, and sustainable cities, with medical innovations, mobility, and information technology. You’ve also heard talks on how to design a happy and green city beyond the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.
