The University of the Philippines is succeeding in making public service an essential part of the higher education program. For Partido State University, the public service arm of UP has enabled a budding and growing University to access UP’s expertise to capacitate its faculty members as well as help enhance PSU students’ competency in highly technical courses where faculty members having advanced degrees are lacking or inadequate. UP President Pascual receives honorary degree at PSU, challenges graduates to effect change

This was the challenge given by University of the Philippines President Alfredo E. Pascual to the graduating batch of Partido State University (PSU) during its 15th commencement exercises held at the PSU Gymnasium in Goa, Camarines Sur.

UP and ParSU to host conference on ASEAN Integration

The University of the Philippines and the Partido State University will host Philippine Higher Education in an Integrating ASEAN: Seizing Opportunities, Confronting Challenges on 17 September at the the Partido State University campus, Goa, Camarines Sur.
Among the topics which will be discussed in the conference are the ASEAN Integration, Mutual Recognition Agreements among ASEAN member nations, particularly on highly skilled labor mobility, the relationship between higher education and globalization as wellas the challenges ASEAN Integration will pose for Philippine higher education instutitions.
