A law graduate from the University of the Philippines topped the 2015 Bar examinations.
The results of the 2015 Bar examinations were announced by Supreme Court Associate Justice Teresita Leonardo-De Castro, who chaired the exams, at a press briefing on Tuesday afternoon.
Rachel Angeli Miranda got the highest mark with 87.4, followed by Athena Plaza of the University of San Carlos with 87.2.

The University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City (UP BGC) campus will soon open its doors for enrolment. With the turnover of the UP BGC’s nine-level building by donor, SM Investments Corporation, the University will be making the final preparations for the operation of the new campus.
Comprising a total floor area of 12,000 square meters, the campus building will house 29 classrooms, 3 computer laboratories, libraries, faculty lounges, an auditorium, a moot court, multipurpose hall, several discussion rooms, conference rooms and office spaces.

The Legal Education Board (LEB) on Tuesday recognized the top 10 best performing law schools in the country.
The LEB presented the recognition on its fifth anniversary celebration in Intramuros Tuesday evening.
The law school rankings were based on the cumulative performance of law schools in the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Bar Examinations. The list only included law schools which had 20 or more examinees.
The rankings were certified by the Supreme Court’s Office of the Bar Confidant.

President Benigno Aquino III has appointed Solicitor General Francis H. Jardeleza as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
The appointment was transmitted to the Supreme Court on Wednesday morning, August 20, 2014, Palace Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr said in a statement.

Nielson Pangan of UP is the first placer with a grade of 85.8%.
