UP Diliman students acclaimed in BPI-DOST Science Awards 2017

Three senior students of UP Diliman, winners of the BPI-DOST Science Awards 2017, received their awards on April 19 at the College of Science Auditorium in UP Diliman, Quezon City.
Recognized during the ceremonies were: Jaime Lorenzo N. Dinglasan (BS Biology), for his research on milkfish bacteria; Orville M. Feliciano (BS Electronics and Communications Engineering), for his research on stereolithography; and, Philip Caesar M. Flores (BS Physics), for his research on quantum and classical clocks.

UPD, UP Cebu to hold forum on Philippine Constitution

Choosing leaders with clear environment platforms

Urban growth and environment experts called on voters to evaluate the development and ecological agendas of candidates as they choose who to vote in the Philippine national elections on May 9.
The country needs leaders who are sensitive to the need for better urban growth management and sustainable practices in the face of climate change, the experts said at the public forum called Sayran, Barugan! on 20 March 2016.

UP to host CNN Philippines Town Hall on 18 February

As part of the activities under the UP sa Halalan 2016 project, the University of the Philippines is hosting CNN Philippines’ Town Hall on 18 February 2016, Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at Cine Adarna, UP Film Center, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The Town Hall will feature Presidential candidate Rodrigo Duterte and his Vice Presidential running mate Alan Peter Cayetano. It will be moderated by veteran journalist Pia Hontiveros. The Town Hall will be streamed live online via facebook.com/CNNPhilippines.
