UP and JCU officials discuss future partnerships

Officials of the University of the Philippines (UP) and James Cook University (JCU) of Australia, one of the world’s leading research institutions focusing on the tropics, explored prospects for collaboration at a meeting held last May 9, 2017 in the UP Board Room in Diliman, Quezon City.

UP to assist PLM in computerizing student registration

With assistance from the University of the Philippines (UP), students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) will soon be enrolling their classes online. UP and PLM signed today, 8 September 2015, a Memorandum of Agreement that will allow PLM to use UP’s Computerized Registration System (CRS).
The CRS of UP is a computerized system for enrollment of students that also functions as a repository of the academic records of the students, including information on the classes they have taken and the grades in these classes.

UP explores collaboration with Vancouver university alliance

University officials met with representatives of the Vancouver Island Public Post-Secondary Alliance (VIPPSA) on March 16 to discuss possible areas of collaboration between the Canadian university consortium and UP.
VIPPSA is composed of five public post-secondary institutions in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada and was represented by Royal Roads University President Allan Cahoon, Royal Roads University Global Advancement Director Thevi Pather, and Vancouver Island University President Ralph Nilson.
