UP Pep Squad Place Second, Push for Equality in Cheerdance Competition

With the roar of the UP community behind them, the UP Pep Squad bent conventions en route to a solid runner-up finish in the UAAP Cheerdance Competition 2014.
In what was described as more of a vision than a theme, the squad which has been called the “Pep Squad ng Bayan” sported colored braids and featured pyramids that had female dancers lifting their male counterparts in an embodiment of the spirit of equality (pantay-pantay).

New UP VP for Planning and Finance takes oath

UP Vice President for Planning and Finance Joselito G. Florendo takes his oath of office administered by UP President Alfredo E. Pascual at a ceremony held in the Office of the President on August 13.

Ukkil at Sutla features Islamic Mindanao art

Decorative art and textiles of Islamic Mindanao were on display on the third floor of the Jorge B. Vargas Museum, UP Diliman as part of “Ukkil at Sutla,” the exhibit that opened on August 5.
